  1. I developed a unique neck joint for my The Owl and The Owl The Owlinstruments in 2017. It was based on research I had done on the Howe Orme neck joint and what Rick Turner did with it.

My neck joint establishes a three-point contact between the neck and the body of the guitar, with all three points being adjustable. This allows for incredible adjustment and a solid fixed-height bridge, as the string height is determined by the neck angle.

The joint has gone through one or two iterations since I first started using it, and earlier this year, I changed it again. I simplified it without compromising on its functionality, and by eliminating potentially moving parts I even made it more practical for regular dis- and reassembly.
